YOUTH QUIZ FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
PROCEDURES AND PRINCIPLES
1-Youth Knowledge Contest will be held face to face on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 14.30.
2-Applications will be made at yarisma.diyanet.gov.tr and all announcements regarding the competition will be available on this site.
3-Applications will start on November 15, 2024 and end on March 23, 2025 at 23:59.
4-Only those who were born on or after January 1, 1997 among the associate degree and undergraduate university students who continue their formal education will be able to participate in the Youth Quiz Contest. (Applications of those who are doing master's and doctoral studies will not be accepted).
5-Foreign students who are not citizens of the Republic of Turkey will not be able to apply for the competition.
6-The permanent and contracted personnel of the Presidency of Religious Affairs (including those who are honorary and deputy) will not be able to participate in the competition; however, those who have previously served as honorary and deputy and are not actively working will be able to participate in the exam.
7-Students who have been awarded with the umrah award within the framework of any program or competition organized by the Presidency in previous years will not participate in this competition.
8-The candidates will be based on their own statements about whether they meet the application requirements and will be asked to submit their information if they win the competition. The contestant who does not comply with the required conditions will be deemed unsuccessful.
9- Contestants will be responsible for the works titled “Islamic Ilmihali” and “Our Prophet in 99 Questions for Young People” from the publications of the Presidency of Religious Affairs and TDV.
10- The first 90 students who have ranked in the Youth Knowledge Contest across Turkey will be rewarded with an umrah by our Presidency; in addition, mufti offices will be able to reward other students who have ranked within their means.
11-Students who are entitled to the Umrah award will make their international fees and passport procedures themselves.
12-Appeals regarding the Youth Knowledge Contest can be made to yarisma@diyanet.gov.tr via e-mail within 5 (five) working days following the contest date.
13-The results of the Youth Knowledge Contest will be announced on the website yarisma.diyanet.gov.tr. Each contestant will be able to access only his/her score, provincial ranking and country ranking, the question he/she marked right/wrong, and the number of questions he/she left blank by entering his/her T.R. ID number at yarisma.diyanet.gov.tr.
The duration of the competition, which will consist of 14-80 questions, is 120 minutes and each question will be worth 1.25 points. After the competition, the questions canceled by the decision of the question preparation commission will be considered correct.
15-Wrong answers will not be taken into account in the Youth Knowledge Contest and only the correct answers will be scored.
16-Of the candidates with equal scores in the Youth Knowledge Contest, the one with the older date of birth will be given priority. If the date of birth is equal, the students will be invited to the provincial mufti's office and the winner will be determined by drawing lots.
17-The winners of the Umrah award will be taken to Umrah on the dates determined by our Presidency. Those who do not participate for any reason on the mentioned dates will be deemed to have waived the umrah award.
